# What is Sound Kit?

> Sound Kit helps you find, make, and add sounds to your Figma designs, then hand them to developers. You browse a sound library, create or edit your own sounds, save them as reusable tokens, add them to your canvas, and review how they are used.

> **Tip:** There are five tabs across the top: Browse, Tokens, Create, Canvas, and Analyze. Press Cmd+1 to Cmd+5 to jump between them. Settings and Help are the icons in the footer.

> **Note:** To add a sound to a layer, you use the Browse tab, not the Canvas tab. Pick a sound, then click Add to Canvas. The Canvas tab is for scanning and managing sounds you have already added.

## Steps

1. Open the Browse tab to find ready-made sounds from a big library. To add one to a layer, select the layer in Figma first, then click Add to Canvas on the sound.
2. Open the Create tab to make a new sound. Its sub-tabs are AI Generate, Upload, Edit, and Mix.
3. Open the Tokens tab to save sounds as reusable, named tokens you can use again later.
4. Open the Canvas tab and run Scan Canvas for Videos to find video nodes that have sound. From the results you can quick-swap, replace, or remove a sound.
5. Open the Analyze tab to review how your sounds are used and prepare them to hand to developers.
