# How do I upload my own sound files?

> Open Create, pick Upload, and drag in your audio files. The upload window keeps each file under its own filename, so all you set is one shared Category and Tags.

> **Note:** You can queue up to 20 files at once. Accepted formats are MP3, WAV, M4A and OGG, up to 50MB each.

> **Tip:** Each file keeps the name it already has on your computer. To rename or re-categorize a sound, do it later under My Sounds.

## Steps

1. Open the Create tab and pick Upload. The Upload Sounds window opens.
2. Drag your audio files onto the drop area, or click it to browse and choose files.
3. Your files appear in the list, each shown under its own filename with its length and size. There is no name field to fill in here.
4. In the Metadata section, set one Category and add any Tags. These apply to every file in the list (leave "Apply to all files" ticked). Renaming and per-file changes come later.
5. Click Upload to send the files to your library. Watch the progress, and use Retry on any file that fails.
6. Find them later under My Sounds in Browse, where you can rename or change a sound’s category one at a time.
