# How do I set up AI sound generation?

> Add your own AI provider key in Settings, AI Providers, then test it.

> **Note:** AI generation uses your own provider key (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, or Replicate). Add it once in Settings, AI Providers. You pay the provider directly for what you generate.

## Steps

1. Click the Settings icon in the footer.
2. In the Settings sidebar, choose AI Providers.
3. Find the provider you want (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, or Replicate). Click Get API Key to open its website if you don't have a key yet.
4. Paste your key into that provider's API Key field.
5. Click Test Connection to check it, then click Save Key for that provider.
