# How do I export or clear my Sound Kit data?

> Settings → Privacy & Data exports everything Sound Kit has stored locally as a JSON file, and can clear it all out again.

> **Careful:** Clearing removes your local settings, preferences, and stored plugin data. Export first if you want a copy.

> **Note:** Sound Kit has no backend, so this data lives in your Figma client, not on a server belonging to us.

## Steps

1. Open Settings from the footer and pick Privacy & Data.
2. Review the privacy toggles and set them how you want them.
3. Click Export All Data to download a JSON copy of what is stored.
4. Use the clear action to wipe local data — useful when you want to start clean or hand the machine on.
