# What keyboard shortcuts can I use?

> Cmd (or Ctrl) plus 1 to 6 jumps between tabs. The editor, the comparison tray, and the Tokens tab each add a few of their own.

> **Note:** Shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a text box, so they never eat your search query or a token name.

## Steps

1. Cmd + 1 to 6 (Ctrl on Windows) switches tabs: Browse, Tokens, Create, Canvas, Motion, Analyze.
2. In the waveform editor: Space plays and pauses, Esc clears the selection, and Delete or Backspace removes the selected part.
3. In the waveform editor: Cmd + X, Cmd + C, and Cmd + V cut, copy, and paste the selection.
4. In the Edit tab with a sound loaded: press A or B to flip between the original and your edited version.
5. In Browse comparison mode with two or more sounds picked: press 1 to 4 to switch between them.
6. In the Tokens tab: Cmd + Z undoes and Cmd + Shift + Z redoes your token changes.
7. Esc closes the open dialog, and in the effects panel it steps back from an effect to the chain list.
