# How do I import tokens from another file?

> Use the import action in the Tokens tab. Drop a file in or paste the JSON, preview what was found, decide what happens to any clashes, and apply.

> **Tip:** The format is detected for you, and anything that is not a sound token is skipped and counted, so you can see what was ignored.

> **Note:** Imports are validated before they land. Problems are reported with the exact place in the file they came from.

## Steps

1. Open the Tokens tab and start an import.
2. Drop your file into the drop zone, or paste the JSON.
3. Review the preview: the sound tokens found, how many were skipped, and any warnings.
4. Resolve the conflicts — decide per token, or apply one strategy to all of them.
5. Apply, then read the summary of what was created, updated, and skipped.
