# How do I connect my own storage?

> Open Settings → Storage and connect GitHub, S3 or Cloudflare R2, or Google Drive. Your sounds are then hosted by you, and the canvas just points at them.

> **Paid feature:** Connecting your own storage is a Pro feature.

> **Note:** There is no Sound Kit server. Your audio goes to the storage you own, which is why full-quality sounds need this step.

> **Tip:** Without storage connected, sounds attached to the canvas have to be kept small enough to embed. Connecting storage removes that ceiling.

## Steps

1. Open Settings from the footer and pick Storage.
2. Choose the provider that suits your team.
3. Fill in its credentials — a repo and access token for GitHub, keys and a bucket for S3 or R2.
4. Save, and check the panel reports the provider as connected.
5. Upload a sound. It goes to your storage, and the canvas gets the hosted URL.
