# How do I change my settings?

> Open Settings from the footer. The sidebar holds License, AI Providers, Storage, Sound Libraries, Editor, Platform Palette, and Privacy & Data.

> **Note:** If you try to leave a section with unsaved changes, Sound Kit asks before discarding them.

## Steps

1. Click the gear icon in the footer.
2. License — see your plan, enter a key, or move it to another machine.
3. AI Providers — add your ElevenLabs or OpenAI key and test it.
4. Storage — connect your own GitHub, S3/R2, or Drive so full-quality sounds are hosted by you.
5. Sound Libraries — connect or disconnect Freesound and your own Custom CDN.
6. Editor — default export formats, sample rates, and preferences like Canvas Preview.
7. Platform Palette — bias loudness, haptics, and formats toward iOS, Android, or Web.
8. Privacy & Data — export a copy of your data, or clear it.
9. Save before you leave the page.
