# How do I make a sound louder or quieter?

> Use the loudness controls to match a target level, or adjust the volume in the editor.

## Steps

1. Open the sound and go to the Edit tab.
2. Find the Loudness controls.
3. Pick a target like Web UI or iOS Tap to set the level for you.
4. Or nudge the volume up or down until it sounds right.
5. Press play to check it, then save.
