# How do I make an AI sound fit the rest of my sounds?

> Use "Match to a reference" to balance a generation against a sound you already trust, and "Family fit" to check it sits inside a set you name.

> **Note:** Nothing is overwritten. The matched version lives alongside the raw generation until you explicitly keep it, and Revert to raw drops it in one press.

> **Tip:** The A/B player levels both sides before you compare, so you judge the tone rather than whichever one happens to be louder.

## Steps

1. Open the Create tab, go to AI Generate, and generate a sound.
2. Open "Match to a reference" under the result.
3. Pick one library sound as the reference — the one the generation should sit next to.
4. Sound Kit works out a corrective EQ and gain and renders a matched version.
5. Compare matched against raw with the A/B switch and the spectrum overlay.
6. Keep the matched version, or Revert to raw.
7. To sanity-check membership instead, open Family fit, pick the sounds that form the family, and press Check fit.
