# How do I check if we already have a sound like this?

> After a generation, open "Do we already have this?" It ranks your library against the new sound so you can reuse something instead of spending another credit.

> **Tip:** Run this before you generate more variations. The cheapest sound is the one you do not have to pay for.

> **Note:** The check is opt-in and looks at a capped number of library sounds. The cap is shown on screen, and if too few sounds are loaded it says so rather than showing an empty list.

## Steps

1. Open the Create tab, go to AI Generate, and generate a sound.
2. Find the "Do we already have this?" section under the result.
3. Open it and start the check.
4. Read the ranked matches. Anything near the top does roughly the same job as the sound you just made.
5. If a library sound will do, use it and discard the generation. If nothing matches, carry on.
