# How do I check a sound is not startling or harsh?

> The Accessibility section in the editor analyses the loaded sound and flags anything likely to startle, clip, or grate — and offers a one-click fix for each.

> **Note:** These checks are advisory. Nothing is changed until you press a fix, and every fix works on a copy you can undo.

> **Tip:** Interface sounds get heard hundreds of times a day. A sound that is merely "a bit sharp" in isolation becomes exhausting at that rate.

## Steps

1. Open a sound in the Create tab’s Edit view.
2. Scroll to Accessibility in the Interaction panel on the right.
3. Read the findings. Each one names the problem, the measured value, and why it matters.
4. Use Apply limiter to tame peaks, Apply de-esser to soften harsh highs, or Match animation to bring an over-long sound in line with its animation.
5. Re-check after a fix, then use A/B to make sure the fix did not cost you the character of the sound.
