# How do I compare my edit against the original?

> The editor keeps the untouched sound as A and your edited version as B. Press A or B to flip between them, with the levels matched so the comparison is fair.

> **Tip:** Level match is on by default. Turn it off when you specifically want to hear how much louder or quieter your edit is.

## Steps

1. Open a sound in the Create tab’s Edit view.
2. Make an edit — a trim, a gain change, an effect.
3. Use the A/B control, or just press the A and B keys, to switch between the original and your version.
4. Toggle level match if you want to compare at raw levels instead.
5. Commit the changes when you are happy, or revert to the original to start again.
6. To reuse a result later, save the effect chain and its interaction settings as an A/B preset.
