# Waveform editor

_Edit & polish · Sound Kit for Figma · Sound Kit Pro_

> Trim, fade and shape a sound without leaving Figma

A real editor on a real waveform: set in and out points, add fades, crop the silence off the front, and hear the change immediately. Most UI sounds need thirty seconds of trimming to go from "close" to "right", and that should not require a round trip to a DAW.

## What it gives you

- **Precise in/out** — Drag handles on the waveform, or type exact times, to cut a clip to length.
- **Fades that stop clicks** — Short fades at the edges remove the click a hard cut leaves behind.
- **Non-destructive** — The original stays intact; your edit is a new sound you can save separately.

## How to use it

1. Open a sound in Create → Edit.
2. Drag the in and out handles to the part you want.
3. Add short fades at each edge to kill any click.
4. Preview, then save the edit to your library or attach it to a layer.
