# Loudness targets (LUFS)

_Edit & polish · Sound Kit for Figma · Sound Kit Pro_

> One consistent level across every sound you ship

Sounds pulled from different sources arrive at wildly different levels. Set a LUFS target and Sound Kit normalises to it, so a success chime and an error buzz sit at the same perceived loudness — the single highest-leverage fix for a sound set that feels amateur.

## What it gives you

- **Perceptual, not peak** — Normalises to LUFS — how loud a clip actually sounds — rather than to the loudest single sample in it.
- **Platform presets** — Targets that match what iOS, Android and web expect, so nothing arrives too hot.
- **Enforced file-wide** — The audit reports drift from your target across the whole file, not just the clip in front of you.

## How to use it

1. Open a sound in Create → Edit.
2. Set the loudness target (or take the one from your platform palette).
3. Apply it and check the new LUFS reading.
4. Repeat across your set — or let the Consistency Report find the outliers for you.
