# Family fit scoring

_Find & preview · Sound Kit for Figma · Sound Kit Pro_

> Check a new sound belongs with the ones you already use

A sound can be great on its own and still be wrong for your product. Family fit scores a candidate against the sounds already in your system, so you can tell whether it joins the family or breaks it — before it is on twenty screens.

## What it gives you

- **Scored against your set** — Compares tone, brightness and loudness against the sounds already in use, not against a generic ideal.
- **Catches drift early** — The moment a candidate sits outside the family it is flagged, rather than surfacing later in an audit.
- **Explains itself** — Tells you why something does not fit — too bright, too long, too loud — so you know what to look for instead.

## How to use it

1. Build up a few sounds in your file or token set first.
2. In Browse, open a candidate sound.
3. Read its family fit score against your existing set.
4. If it scores badly, use Find similar to walk toward a better neighbour.
