# Connect external libraries

The built-in library is a starting point, not a ceiling. Connect Freesound, Pixabay or your own hosted catalogue and their results appear alongside the built-in sounds, with the same waveform, loudness badge and preview behaviour.

## What it gives you

- **One search box** — External sources appear in the same result list — no tab-switching, no separate mental model.
- **Your own catalogue too** — Point Sound Kit at a catalogue you host and your team searches it like any other source.
- **Licence-aware** — Each result carries its source so you can honour attribution before it ships.

## How to use it

1. Open Settings → Sound Libraries.
2. Enable the sources you want and add any keys they require.
3. Return to Browse — external results now appear alongside the built-in library.
4. Filter by source when you want to stay inside one catalogue.
