# Bring your own storage

Sound Kit does not host your audio. Connect your own GitHub repo, S3-compatible bucket, Cloudflare R2, Google Drive or CDN, and full-quality files are uploaded there and referenced by URL — so your audio lives where your other assets live, under your own retention and access rules.

## What it gives you

- **No third-party hosting** — Audio goes to your storage. There is no Systergon bucket holding your files.
- **Full quality preserved** — The canvas copy is compressed to fit Figma; the hosted original is not.
- **Several providers** — GitHub, S3-compatible buckets, R2, Drive or any public base URL you run.

## How to use it

1. Open Settings → Storage.
2. Choose a provider and enter its credentials.
3. Upload or attach a sound — the full-quality file goes to your storage.
4. Share the hosted URL with engineering alongside the tokens.
