# How do I give one leg its own timing?

> Open a leg to override its pace, easing, pause, and shape on its own.

On a **Waypoints** path, every leg (the span from one point to the next) can override the global timing on its own. Open a leg from the **timing** chip between two points in the list, or by clicking the ▸ node on that leg in the preview — the popover is titled **Leg N → N+1**.

_A leg’s timing popover — override its pause, easing, pace, and shape, or Reset to global._

1. **Pause at N** — hold at the leg’s start point before travelling (the same value as that point’s ⏱).
2. **Easing** — this leg’s curve, or **Auto (global)** to inherit the global one.
3. **Timing → Pace** scales this leg’s speed (2× = twice as fast); **Duration** instead pins it to an exact number of seconds.
4. **Vary speed** shapes a speed graph just for this leg (it supersedes the leg’s easing).
5. **Offset** bows the leg sideways; **Wobble** adds a perpendicular ripple with its own amount and cycles.

Overrides are **additive** — anything you leave alone follows the global Timing / Speed / Motion settings. **Reset to global** clears the whole leg back to inheriting.

> **Note:** A leg with any override gets a marked ▸ node in the preview and a highlighted chip in the point list, so you can see at a glance which legs are customised.
