# How do I rotate, scale, fade, or draw the path on?

> Layer extra tracks on top of the position animation.

The **Motion** section adds tracks alongside the position animation:

_The Motion section: Rotate to path, Easing, Scale, Opacity, and Draw-on._

1. **Rotate to path** — keyframes rotation so the layer faces along the path tangent. **Auto-flip** keeps text and asymmetric objects upright on return legs.
2. **Scale along path** — interpolates a uniform scale from a start value to an end value.
3. **Fade along path** — interpolates opacity from a start value to an end value.
4. **Motion trail / echo** — bakes faded ghost copies of the object trailing it along the path (a speed-blur / onion-skin look). Set **Copies** for how many, **Spacing** for the gap between them, and **Ghost opacity** for the nearest ghost’s fade. Ghosts are extra layers created on apply and refreshed each time; turning it off removes them.
5. **Draw path on** — animates the path layer’s own stroke: **Reveal** draws it on trailing the object; **Trail** follows the object with a fixed-width window.
