# How do I keep a label or line attached to a moving object?

> Connector rigging tethers a label to a mover, or stretches a line between two moving objects.

The **Connector** section rigs one layer to another so it stays connected during the animation. Two modes: **Attach** pins a label to a moving object (it rides along, upright or turning with it), and **Between / Link** draws a managed line that stretches between two or more moving objects — a tether, leader line, or elastic string.

1. Open the **Connector** section and turn it on.
2. **Attach**: pick the object to follow, and choose whether the label stays **upright** or **rotates** with it.
3. **Between / Link**: select the objects to connect and pick the **link topology** (chain / star), plus stroke thickness and dashed on/off.
4. Select your layers and **Apply** — or use **Add example to canvas** on a connector example (e.g. *Tethered label*, *Connected beads*) to build a wired scene ready-made.

> **Note:** Attach reuses the moving object’s own Motion tracks, so the label stays glued frame-for-frame. Between/Link builds a managed line layer by sampling both objects’ baked motion — turning it off removes that line.
