# Which point of my object follows the path?

> Anchor point picks the spot on the object that rides the path — a nose, a baseline, or a custom %.

By default the object’s **centre** rides the path. The **Anchor point** control (in the **Offsets** section) lets you choose a different spot — so an arrow leads with its **nose**, a label sits on its **baseline**, or any custom **%** you type follows the curve.

_With Rotate to path on, the anchored point stays glued to the curve while the object turns._

1. Open the **Offsets** section and set **Anchor point** — a 3×3 grid of presets (Centre, Top, Bottom (baseline), Left, Right (nose), and the four corners).
2. Need something in between? Pick **Custom %** and type the exact **Anchor X / Y %**.
3. Pair it with **Rotate to path** so an asymmetric object (arrow, plane, pin) leads with the right edge as it turns.

> **Note:** Anchor point only applies when **Start at path start** is on (it shifts the base position onto the path). It’s hidden in glyph mode, which places every letter itself.
