# Train on a track

_Game & arcade · Figma Motion Path example_

Select N copies to distribute as train cars riding a curved track nose-to-tail at a fixed gap. It's a ready-made recipe you can tweak and apply in a click — every option below writes real, editable Figma Motion keyframes.

## How to create it in Figma

1. Select a **layer to animate inside a frame** — the example draws its own path for you.
2. Or select your **own vector first** (as the path) plus the layer, and switch the preview to **Your path**.
3. Tweak the variables — the **preview updates live**. Use the reset icon to restore defaults.
4. Click **Apply to selection** to write the animation, or **Add example to canvas** to drop a ready-made demo.

## Tips

- Select **multiple copies** (Distribute) or a longer path so the echo / train spreads out.
- If an asymmetric object should lead nose-first, set the matching **Anchor point**.
