# Why is a chart type locked?

> Under Google and HighCharts only the first chart in each category is free — everything after it is PRO. D3 - Nivo, ApexCharts and ECharts are PRO from top to bottom.

> **Pro feature:** FigmaCharts Pro is $38 a year. The dialog shows the monthly equivalent with the yearly billing note underneath.

> **Tip:** A free chart is not a cut-down chart. You can edit its data, change every option, restyle it and insert it exactly like a paid one.

> **Note:** When an early-bird discount is running the dialog shows the reduced price and a countdown to when the offer ends.

## Steps

1. A locked tile carries a PRO badge in its corner and sits under a faint overlay. Clicking it opens the upgrade dialog instead of the editor.
2. Under Google and HighCharts the lock is positional. The first tile in whichever category you are filtered to is free; every tile after it in that category is PRO. Switch category and you get another free chart.
3. D3 - Nivo, ApexCharts and ECharts are PRO throughout. Their tabs carry the badge too, so you can see it before you click in.
4. In the dialog, Get FigmaCharts Pro opens checkout in your browser. If you have already bought, I have a license key takes you straight to the activation box, and Maybe later closes it.
