# How do I edit just one part of a chart?

> Turn on the Inspector, then click that part of the chart in the preview. The Configuration tab filters down to the options that affect what you clicked.

## Before you start

- A Highcharts or ApexCharts chart open in the editor.

> **Tip:** This is the fastest route into a deep option. Clicking an axis label gets you there in one action, where searching means knowing what the library calls it.

> **Note:** The Inspector works with Highcharts and ApexCharts. On the other libraries, use the search box in the Configuration tab instead.

> **Pro feature:** The Inspector needs a paid plan.

## Steps

1. Turn on the Inspector from the editor header.
2. Click a part of the chart in the preview — a bar, the legend, an axis, the title.
3. The Configuration tab now shows only the options for that element, and a breadcrumb tells you what is selected.
4. Hold ⌘ (Ctrl on Windows) while clicking to select several elements and edit them together.
