# How do I fill a community template with charts?

> Run Fill Community Template. It finds every frame on the page whose name starts with [INSERT], builds the chart named after it, and drops it into that exact spot at that exact size.

## Before you start

- A page with placeholder frames named [INSERT] <chart name>.

> **Note:** A placeholder is skipped when its name matches no chart. Rename it to something the gallery recognises — the plain chart type is the safest bet — and run it again.

> **Careful:** The placeholder frame is deleted once its chart is in. There is nothing to compare against afterwards, so run it on a copy if the placeholders carried notes or artwork you need.

> **Tip:** Every chart it makes is a normal FigmaCharts chart. Select one and press Edit Chart to open it in the editor and swap in your own numbers.

## Steps

1. Name each placeholder frame after the chart you want in it — [INSERT] Line Chart, [INSERT] Pie Chart, [INSERT] Treemap. The size and position of the frame is the size and position the chart will take.
2. Keep the placeholders at the top level of the page. The scan only looks at the page itself, so a placeholder tucked inside another frame is never found.
3. Run Fill Community Template. The plugin scans the page, then works through the placeholders one at a time, showing which one it is on and how many are left.
4. Each chart is built with realistic business data — revenue by quarter, users by country — so the page reads as a finished document rather than as a set of demo numbers.
5. When it finishes it reports how many it filled and how many it skipped. Press Close and check the page.
