# How do I export my data back out?

> Choose Data in the Export tab and pick CSV, JSON or Excel. It exports the chart's current numbers, including anything you pasted, imported or pulled from a connected source.

> **Tip:** There is a faster route for CSV alone: the Export CSV button in the data table toolbar, on the Data tab. It is not part of the paid Export tab.

> **Note:** This exports the numbers, not the styling. To capture how the chart looks, use Config to save the whole chart definition, or Tokens for just the colours and type.

## Steps

1. Open the Export tab and choose Data.
2. Pick CSV, JSON or Excel.
3. Press Download. The file is named after your chart.
