# How do the early-bird discounts work?

> New users get 50% off for their first 48 hours, then 20% for the day after that. The banner at the bottom of the plugin shows the code and the time left, and its button carries the code into checkout for you.

> **Tip:** The plain Upgrade link in the footer does not carry a code. While an offer is running, buy from the banner or from Settings instead.

> **Note:** The countdown is yours, not a shared sale. It starts the first time you see the offer, and the clock is kept with the plugin on your own machine.

> **Pro feature:** FigmaCharts Pro is $38 a year. At 50% off that is $19 for the year.

> **Note:** Missed it? Once the first 72 hours are up a 50COMEBACK offer appears — another 50% off, running for 24 hours.

## Steps

1. Look at the very bottom of the plugin. While an offer is running, a banner sits under the footer with the offer, a live countdown and the code itself.
2. Press the Upgrade button on the banner. Checkout opens in your browser with the discount already applied — you never have to type the code.
3. Or press Copy beside the code and paste it into the discount field at checkout yourself. The button reads Copied for a couple of seconds so you know it worked.
4. Watch which code is showing. 50EARLYADOPTERS takes 50% off for your first 48 hours; after that the banner switches to 20EARLYADOPTERS at 20% until the 72-hour mark, then the offer ends and the banner disappears.
5. Upgrading from Settings → License & Subscription works too — while an offer runs, that button shows the discounted price and carries the code through as well.
