# How do I get a chart type recommended for my data?

## Before you start

## Steps

1. Open the AI panel and describe your data and what you want a reader to take from it — for example, "I have spend across eight teams and I want to show which two dominate".
2. It suggests a chart type with a reason. Take the reason seriously — if it does not match what you are trying to say, ask again with a clearer goal.
3. Once you have a type, find it in the gallery and build it as normal.
